Our celebration of love!

We have known each other since 5th grade and went through high school knowing of each other but not really friends. After graduating, we went to different colleges. It was until he decided to DM through Instagram that we re-connected again. He wanted to invite me to his birthday dinner, but I was studying for the MCAT. After I was done working on medical school applications, I decided to write back in the DM. We first met at the New York Public Library after a long time. He was "working" on a project, and I was working on my school applications. He tried to steal a kiss that day, but we did not know we would end up stealing each other's hearts. <3

We were supposed to go ice skating in Bryant's Park for Valentine's Day and then go to dinner. I was already suspicious because he was wearing a suit to go ice skating! I was annoyed because I thought I was underdressed, wearing my UGGs. He took me to the front steps of the New York Public Library, just to remind us of our first date. His mom and brother were waiting for us on top of the stairs. My mom and sister were on FaceTime. Before I could realize what was going on, he kneeled and put out the ring. It was so cold that day, my hands were shivering. I remember him screaming, "Come on are you going to say yes or no?! It's cold out here!" I don't know how long it took, but apparently too long. I said YES! to the journey that we had already begun.
