Drive the 1.6 mile summit road to catch a view from the top of Scotts Bluff or hike the monument! I get excited about this monument (flor) because it was a landmark for the people traveling the Oregon trail and it is a beautiful view of the Nebraska prairie.
Take a short drive through the Sandhills! (But not too far) Read more about this scenic drive here: https://history.nebraska.gov/blog/ruins-along-highway-2
A little far but this is definitely a trip to make if you are in Western Nebraska. Google things to do in the area and you will find train rides, more sculptures, and more things to do! Keep your eyes peeled for buffalo.
