Christine and William met while in college. Christine was attending Nursing school at Adelphi University and Will was attending Maritime college. Christine was born and raised in Throggs Neck and on the weekends, Christine liked to go to her local watering hole, Patty's on the Bay, a bar down the block from where Will went to college. In October of 2013 the bar was having a Halloween party, Will happened to venture out this night. Christine was there and dressed as a cat and Will, due to his lack of personality, was dressed as himself. It was the perfect combination of outgoing and awkward. The two met there and instantly clicked!

On December 1st 2022 Christine and Will went on their annual Florida trip to celebrate their anniversary. That morning Christine wanted to go to the Grand Floridian Hotel to see the life size gingerbread house. Afterwards Will suggested they take a picture in front of the Christmas tree. While waiting on the line, Christine was begging Will to take off his Fanny pack for the picture because he looked ridiculous with it on. Will insisted he looked amazing. Christine gave Will the usual eye roll. It’s was finally their turn in line. The photographer positioned them in from of the tree and right before she asked them to smile, Will unzipped he’s Fanny pack, pulled out the ring, got down on one knee and asked, “Christine, Will You Marry Me?” With tears rolling down her face she replied… YES!!
