Local outdoor shopping mall with Ferris Wheel and plenty of restaurants.

Irvine Spectrum Center

Dana Point Harbor

The Mission is a fantastic local historical sight with beautiful gardens.  The surrounding downtown area has great restaurants, include El Adobe Capistrano (Mexican food), Trevor's on the Tracks (American food) and Rancho Capistrano Winery (wine and food).

Mission San Juan Capistrano and Downtown SJC

This is one of the prettiest local spots for a good walk.  Most of the way is paved, and the area is filled with beautiful plants native to Southern California.  You'll also spot local art installations and fairy houses along the way.  This is not a strenuous "hike" and is good for all ages.
