We matched on Hinge an dating app and quickly decided to connect when we discovered we had a lot in common. We met in person for a cocktail at the Canal Club inside The Scott resort in Old Town. Jessica was running late because she was on call for work and Jordan was sweating it out thinking she might not show. In the end we spent four hours together talking and getting to know one another. Jordan gave an awkward side hug goodbye but we both knew we'd see each other again.
September 9, 2020 We planned a trip to Italy and that was derailed due to corona virus so we rescheduled to Vail, Colorado. We planned on hiking, biking, gondola riding, and relaxing away from the heat of AZ. Wednesday Jordan said he had the day planned and coordinated a gondola ride and wine tasting. (Or so I thought) We drove up the mountain to the gondola ride and took a small detour. We arrived at a beautiful look out spot and Jordan lead me to an open area. He told me he had bad news that the gondola ride was closed but instead had something very important to ask me. When I turned to look at him he was down on one knee and proposed. He coordinated a photographer to be there to capture the moments. We decided to go home for a bit before the wine tasting to celebrate with some champagne. When we arrived there was a sign that said "Congratulations on your engagement Jessica and Jordan" with balloons and confetti. I assumed the AirBnB host decorated for us and then his parents and mine popped out to surprise me. We had a wonderful afternoon calling family to announce the good news. We celebrated the rest of the week in Vail together. It was something we will never forget and we are so happy our parents could be a part of it. The picture below was one of our celebrations in Vail.
