Liberia Airport (LIR): About 90 minutes from Hacienda Pinilla and Tamarindo — this is our recommended airport for convenience. San José Airport (SJO): Often slightly cheaper flights, but about a 4.5-hour drive from the wedding area.

If you’re thinking about extending your trip, Costa Rica has so many beautiful places to explore — and we’d love for you to make the most of your time here! La Fortuna (Jungle Adventure): For a change of pace and scenery, we highly recommend a few days in La Fortuna. It’s located near Arenal Volcano and is known for lush rainforests, waterfalls, hot springs, and outdoor adventures like ziplining, hiking, and whitewater rafting. It’s the perfect way to experience Costa Rica’s wild side. Beach Towns to the North (Relaxation & Resorts): If you're looking for more beach time with the convenience of all-inclusive resorts, head north of Tamarindo: Playa Flamingo & Playa Conchal: Both are home to some of the best all-inclusive and upscale resorts in the area. Playa Conchal features the Westin Reserva Conchal, a beautiful all-inclusive beachfront resort. Playa Flamingo has a gorgeous coastline, a new marina, and a mix of upscale accommodations and laid-back charm. Papagayo Peninsula: Farther north, this area is known for its luxury beach resorts, including Secrets Papagayo and the Four Seasons. It's ideal if you’re looking for a pampered, all-inclusive escape with beautiful scenery and easy access from Liberia Airport. Beach Towns to the South (Surf, Wellness & Laid-Back Vibes): If you want to explore more off-the-beaten-path towns with a chill and bohemian feel, head south of Tamarindo: Nosara & Playa Guiones: Nosara is a wellness-focused surf town known for yoga, great food, and unspoiled beaches. It's a bit more rustic and boutique in style — perfect for those seeking a peaceful, nature-connected experience.
