Let's Celebrate!

A modern love story… Emily and Pete met on Hinge! On their first date, they sat outside the Bourbon Street Cafe in downtown OKC talking about travels, mutual interests, and life. Dinner went so well that they didn’t want the night to end, so off they went down the canal to play putt putt. Nothing like some healthy competition on a first date! She may have lost that game (and plenty after), but he won her over that night. So Emily kept the scorecard, and the rest is history!

The soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Flippo are currently living in Oklahoma City with their three pups, Zoey, Ivy, and Finn, and their ball python, Noodle. Pete and Emily are true adventurers. Whether it’s hiking Half Dome in Yosemite, or kayaking at Stitchcomb Wildlife Refuge, these two are always looking for something fun to experience. Going to the sand dunes riding their side by sides has been one of their favorite pastimes they enjoy together. The first time Pete took Emily out to Little Sahara State Park sand dunes, she instantly took to it and found her new hobby! He was happy to share this part of his life with her, solidifying their relationship even more. Pete and Emily are so excited to see you all in Lake City to help them celebrate their greatest adventure yet: Marriage!

Emily planned a last minute trip to show Pete one of her favorite places, Lake City. Pete was ready to take the leap and knew this would be the perfect place and opportunity to propose. With one week to plan and get a ring, Pete was feeling the pressure of this big step. The morning of the proposal, they spent time driving the alpine loop and exploring the majestic mountains of Colorado. They drove up to American Basin, a location in the Rocky Mountains which is known for its natural beauty. Surrounded by picture perfect mountains and stunning, alpine wildflowers, Pete knew this would be the right moment to officially propose. After approaching the ideal location, Pete got to one knee and pulled out the most gorgeous sapphire ring! Emily was so excited, she said yes before he could even ask for her hand!! It was truly a magical day thanks to amazing friends and family!
