What should I do once I land in Cancun?

Answer

We recommend staying your first night in Cancun, then arranging transportation to the Chiquila ferry for the following morning. This gives you time to rest after your flight and ensures a smooth transition to the next leg of your journey.

How do I get from Cancun to Isla Holbox?

Answer

Getting to Isla Holbox: The ferry departs from Chiquilá (2 hours from Cancun). Options to reach Chiquilá: -Email Villas Caracol to arrange transfers in advance at eventos@villascaracol.com - Shuttle: Reserve at www.HolboxShuttles.com - Taxi: Available at airport/hotel zones (book ahead recommended) Ferry Details: Holbox Express and 9 Hermanos operate the same route every 30 minutes, 6:30 am–9:30 pm (30-minute crossing). Porters available at dock for tips. On Holbox: The island is car-free with sandy roads; all transportation is by golf cart (~15 minutes to Villas Caracol). Bring cash in pesos—there's a bank with ATM on the island.

Where should I stay?

Answer

Hotel Villas Caracol is a boutique hotel with 16 rooms so room availability is limited. We've reserved a room block for guests who would like to stay at the venue. Simply use the booking link below to select your room type and complete the reservation form. The hotel will contact you directly to finalize your booking. https://forms.gle/GEyyB5RzLSCB6JA57 We'd love to have you stay with us at the wedding hotel, but you're also welcome to stay anywhere on the island that fits your preferences and budget. There are many hotels, vacation rentals, and Airbnbs available.

Any recommendations for booking accommodations?

Answer

We recommend booking early, especially if you're planning on staying at the wedding hotel. This will give you the best selection of rooms and rates. Rooms within our reserved block must be booked by December 31st, 2026. After that date, availability and pricing cannot be guaranteed.

Where will the bride and groom's families be staying?

Answer

Our immediate family will be staying together in an Airbnb from Monday through Friday before moving to the wedding hotel for the wedding weekend (Friday through Monday).

Can my hotel help arrange transportation?

Answer

Yes! Whether you're staying at the wedding hotel or another property on the island, email our wedding event coordinator at eventos@villascaracol.com to assist with arranging transportation to and from the airport and ferry landing.

How many nights do you recommend staying?

Answer

While you're welcome to stay as long as you'd like, we recommend arriving at least one day before the wedding and departing at least one day after so you can relax and enjoy the celebration.

Can I bring my children or a plus-one?

Answer

Yes! This will be a very casual, family friendly celebration. Please indicate children and plus-ones on RSVP questionnaire so we can accommodate accordingly.

Can I make a vacation out of this trip?

Answer

Absolutely! We hope you'll take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy the island, relax, explore and spend time with family and friends before and after the wedding weekend.

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes. All U.S. travelers, including children, will need a valid passport to enter Mexico and return to the United States. We recommend checking expiration dates well in advance of the trip.
