Splashes of color and unique accessories are commonly seen at creative black tie events. Creative Black Tie Tips for Men Gentlemen traditionally wear a tuxedo jacket and tuxedo pants to maintain a formal sense. Instead of the standard black-colored vests or cummerbunds, accessories can feature a fun color and/or pattern. Special pocket squares may also creatively enhance the outfit. Gentlemen may opt for a fashionable black dress shirt and no neckwear in lieu of the more traditional white button-down shirt and black bow tie. Creative Black Tie Tips for Women Women should still follow the dress codes of a normal black tie affair. Evening gowns and cocktail dress are expected, but don't be afraid to add some sparkle and personality! Creativity can be displayed through trendy accessories and jewelry such as earrings, bracelets and brooches. Have fun with it!
First and foremost, we want everyone to feel comfortable and safe on our wedding day! Due to the time of year, all events will be hosted indoors, where there's a higher risk of transmission. To mitigate that risk, we ask that everyone receive a negative COVID test prior to attending. This will enable everyone to relax a little bit and focus on enjoying the day! There will be 23 guests, including Megan and Mike. That number is within MA guidelines for events. Guests may only closely socialize with other members of their "household". Cocktail hour will be seated to minimize cross-household mingling. Cocktails will be ordered with and served by a waiter, as opposed to at a bar. Apps will be handed to you, instead of picked off a tray or display table. For dinner, you will be seated with other members of your "household". Tables will be spaced. A mask should be worn when not eating or drinking. The night will end after dinner; there will be no dancing.
