Wedding Party

Meghan Pruitt

Matron of Honor

Meghan is Maura's younger sister and best friend for over 30 years. It would be hard to summarize their relationship in a short blurb, but suffice it to say they've been by each other's sides from everything to first days of school, weddings, babies, and roughly forty billion gymnastics meets. Meghan has been Maura's biggest advocate during hard times, and her biggest cheerleader during the happy times. Maura could not be more grateful for her constant support and couldn't imagine doing life without her.

Kerry Steed

Maid of Honor

The youngest of the Steed clan, Kerry is Maura's sister, best friend, work out buddy, Goddaughter, occasional roommate, and dance partner. What Kerry lacks in years she makes up for in her zest for life; nothing is ever boring when Kerry is involved. Kerry is uber talented, being the perfect combination of brains and beauty with a fun loving and kind spirit. Kerry will be traveling to Chicago from Nashville, where she's currently a senior at Vanderbilt University.

Kelly Majeske

Bridesmaid

Kelly is Matt's younger sister, and Maura can't wait to add another sister to the tribe. Kelly shares Matt's love of golf, soccer, and Jeep Wranglers. Kelly is welcoming twins shortly before the wedding, and Maura and Matt are overjoyed to be adding the babies to the family. Kelly currently lives in Kalamazoo, MI with her husband Keith, their dog Alice, and the babies-to-be.

Jen Nentwig

Bridesmaid

Jen and Maura met in 2003, when they were randomly assigned to be freshman year roommates. They've been BFFs since then, and share a love of long distance races, as well as a poor sense of direction (ask Jen about the time they travelled to Nashville for a marathon, and then missed the start by driving in the wrong direction). Maura loves Jen's kind spirit, her wit, and her love and loyalty for her friends and family. Jen currently lives in California with her husband Gage, her baby Ashton, and her fur baby Piper.

Lydia Olsen

Bridesmaid

Lydia is Maura's oldest friend. They've been friends for over 20 years, and they have the embarrassing pictures to prove it (note to family and friends, if I ever go through another "glitter belt" phase, please stage an intervention). They've celebrated everything from graduations to weddings together, and after all these years still don't go longer than a few days without talking. Lydia is currently a rocket scientist in Boston, expecting her first child with her husband Jonathan in October, and still playing violin for a symphony in Boston, but I'm sure someday soon she'll do something productive with her life (kidding!).

Jenn Sayers

Bridesmaid

Jenn and Maura became quick friends at Notre Dame, where they bonded over a love of dance parties, trips to the dining hall, silly costumes, and many crazy adventures that will not be discussed at the wedding. Maura loves Jenn's fierce loyalty and her love and compassion for everyone in her life. Jenn has been an active duty member of the US Air Force since 2007, and has served in Japan, Korea, the Pentagon, and multiple domestic locations. Jenn is currently stationed in Seattle, working for Microsoft on behalf of the US Air Force. This girl has dance moves like no other, so keep an eye out for her on the dance floor.

Patricia Thomas

Bridesmaid

Maura and Patricia first became friends in college, where they bonded over TV nights and Sunday Night Dinners. After college, Maura and Patricia both moved to Chicago, and have been partners in crime since that time. They've spent almost every New Year's Eve together, although currently their New Year's Eve celebrations only last until about 9:30 pm. Patricia is kind and funny, and never falters in supporting her friends. She's always up for an adventure, but also the perfect partner for drinking wine and watching reruns of the West Wing.

Sarah Walcott-Sapp

Bridesmaid

Sarah and Maura met when they randomly ended up as roommates during their first year of med school. Since then the adventures have been non stop - from hiking the Milford Sound in New Zealand, exploring caves in Belize, to visiting the "World's Largest Prairie Dog" in Kansas. There is no one else who can make things like trips to the library or driving to the airport as fun as Sarah can. Sarah is the type of friend who will loan Maura her hiking shoes for a hike (because of course Maura only packed one shoe), even if it means Sarah ends up hiking up a mountain in flip-flops. Hopefully Maura will remember both shoes on her wedding day, but if not, Maura has no doubt that Sarah will have her back and create some memories along the way.

Finley Pruitt

Flower Girl

Finley is Maura's oldest niece. When Finley was little Maura thought it would be fun to train her to tell people that Maura was her best friend, but joke's on Maura because then it turned out to be true. Finley has loved dance parties ever since she had a solo jam-fest on stage in a Galway pub at the age of 1.5. Her signature dance move is the "twirl-karate kick-flamingo" sequence, and she promises to bring it out for the celebrations in November.

Nora Pruitt

Flower Girl

Nora is the youngest of the flower girl crew, and is currently training hard to learn to walk by November. Nora's interests include belly tickles, walks to the park, and 20th century American mystery novels, such as "Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You?"

Elle Steed

Flower Girl

Elle is the middle of the flower girl trifecta and the best snuggler of the group. At 1.5 years old she's already laid-back and warm like her dad, and fun-loving like her mom. She's currently working on perfecting her dance moves for the big day.

Patrick Craig

Best Man

Pat and Matt have been been friends since high school when they carpooled to Loyola Academy. Following high school they spent summers working and playing golf together and winters paying for one movie and seeing 2-3 at the Evanston Century 12. Matt was a groomsman at Pat's wedding to his wife Megan and is "Uncle Fletcher" to their daughter, Clare.

Nicholas Lawler

Groomsman

Matt and Nick have been friends since college. Nick shares Matt's interests cooking, golf, and overdressing for social occasions. For example, when Matt, Joe, and Pat traveled to Boston to see a football game between BC and Florida State, Nick hosted the pre-game tailgate in his on-campus apartment rocking loafers and a blazer despite Boston being nearly underwater due to a hurricane. Nick is also Matt's former roommate and is therefore probably entitled to a great deal of credit for "house training" Matt.

Joseph Lawler

Groomsman

Joe and Matt both attended Loyola Academy. Good friends for over 15 years, they have played countless rounds of golf and shared many a final-final.

Brendan Driscoll

Groomsman

Brendan and Matt met when Brendan crashed on Nick and Matt's couch while in town interviewing for a job. Brendan and Matt have been good friends ever since, sharing an interest in golf, good food, and bad movies.

Jon Bosscher

Groomsman

Fraternity brothers and friends since college, Jon and Matt bonded over shared interests in history, politics, and disagreeing about politics.

Tim Steed

Groomsman

Tim is Maura's older brother, and the oldest of the Steed siblings. Tim is known for his warm and loving nature, and also for the time that he threw up on Maura on Easter because he was so excited for the Easter egg hunt. Fortunately when Maura and Matt announced their engagement on Easter of 2019, Tim was able to keep his composure. Keep an eye out for Tim's mini-me, Elle, to steal the show as part of the flower girl crew.

Dan Steed

Groomsman

Dan is Maura's younger brother, making him the fourth of Steed sibs. Dan is laid back and mellow, but has no problem picking up a guitar in front of a packed pub in Dublin, going on blind dates orchestrated by Maura, jumping in to Maura's pilates classes, or picking up a new college degree. He is smart, kind, talented, and creative, and Maura and Matt can't wait to have him join the wedding party.
