The first time we ever met was actually back in middle school. His mom was my bus driver and while he was two years ahead of me in school, sometimes he would still be on the bus. We never spoke to each other then, but oddly enough we both vividly remember each other from back then. Fast forward almost 8-10 years later, I took a job working at the local gas station (small town). He happened to live down the street and would come in several times per day, every single day. After about two months, he finally asked about me and we dated for several months. Life seemed to get in the way off and on for two more years when finally fast forward three years to 2017. He finally confessed that I was the love of his life and that I've always been the only one he ever wanted. Of course, I had to confess the same to him and we have been inseparable ever since.
I will never forget the night he proposed to me. I won't divulge all of the details, but I remember when he asked my firs response was, "are you serious?" He had given me a promise ring and asked if it could now become an engagement ring. Of course, I said yes and he said, "We don't have to get married right away, but I want to make sure I never lose you again." This means more than I can explain (he's never been the type to want marriage or even settle down), but he wants those things with me.
