From the beginning, Emma and Alex seemed to set the standard for each other quickly. Only a few dates in, Emma delayed a trip overseas just so they could spend a little more time together before she left. Not long after, Alex was waking up at 4:00 in the morning to call her while she was traveling — because even from the start, being part of each other’s lives already felt worth the effort. This late-night car-trouble saga — or “adventure,” as they came to call it — became the date they chose as their dating anniversary. Through a lot of small everyday moments and some larger, more involved ones — like flying overseas on two weeks’ notice for a family wedding — Emma and Alex have found that the best part has never only been where they were going or what they were doing. It has been having each other there to laugh with, figure things out alongside, and turn even the most ridiculous moments into memories they love. That is what their relationship has become: a life full of stories, built on friendship, love, laughter, and a shared willingness to say yes to the next adventure. No matter where life takes them next, they are excited to keep choosing each other, making memories, and for the future they are building together.
