Dalton and Lauren met in 7th-grade science class! They sat kiddy-corner from each other and Dalt immediately started off with the annoying pencil poking and asking for answers on quizzes. From there, they instantly became best friends and just a few short years later they started dating! Dalt asked Lauren to be his girlfriend on April 14th, 2012. After that, they truly were inseparable. They went to both high school proms together and after graduation Lauren went to Iowa State University and Dalton stayed home to attend Riverland Community College and worked for the family business, Southern Lock and Glass. Dalt would make trips to go see Lauren as much as he could and they continued to do long-distance for 3 years while she was in school. After she graduated, Lauren moved back to Albert Lea and found a job working at Target in Rochester. Together, they bought their first home in November 2018. Throughout the years they've worked on remodeling it from top to bottom. On Oct. 4th, 2021, after 9 years of being together, Dalt finally got down on one knee on the oceanside rocks in Cancun, Mexico while on a trip with some of their best friends, Matt and Madi. They can't wait to celebrate this next chapter in their lives together and are so thankful for the family and friends that have supported them throughout the years!
