Nick and Jessica were introduced to one another through their mutual friend, Jordan, back in the late summer of 2013. Jessica's mom, Nick's mom, and Jordan's mom all share the same birthday on February 26th. Just over eight years later, Nick acted on his plan to pop the question a week before February 26th, 2022. Everything had been set up as though it was only to celebrate the mothers, arranging a stroll through the Botanical Gardens, with brunch to follow. Jessica has a fascination with plants, and was instantly distracted by the interesting floral exhibits, splitting her attention from Nick's "upset stomach." At a particularly beautiful cactus garden, Nick asked Jessica to take his hands, Jessica said, "Oh my goodness, is it finally happening?!" Nick grinned and proclaimed, "You are my best friend, and the only person I can see spending the rest of my life with." He gets down on one knee, only for a brief moment, Jessica is already nodding her head and says yes! Both Mothers and Fathers got to witness the magical moment in-person, making it a magical and unforgettable birthday celebration.
