FAQs

Question

Can I bring my child(ren)?

Answer

To allow all guests to relax and enjoy themselves, we have chosen to make our special day adults only. We thank you for your understanding.

Question

Will there be transportation to and from the venue?

Answer

Yes! Check out the travel page for all the details. We'll also provide you with a timetable upon your arrival at the hotel.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest” or a specific person's name, then yes. If not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail, please (ladies in dresses, jumpsuits, or something you'd wear to a nice event - men in suits, slacks, and collars). But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose.

Question

What are you and your venue doing or changing in light of COVID-19?

Answer

Currently, Virginia is in Phase 3 of its reopening, which makes it possible for groups of up to 250 to congregate. Our invite list is luckily much lower than this, and we expect that due to COVID-19 we will experience attendance much lower than our initial number. That being said, we are working with our venue to ensure health and safety protocols like masks for The Mill at Fine Creek staff, passed hors d'oeuvres rather than a buffet, seating set ups that accommodate social distancing, and outdoor spaces for people to participate without being on the dance floor are among a few. We encourage guests to wear masks if desired, and we will have hand sanitizer and masks available for those interested. We are also opting for an open bar, which means if you lose track of your drink you should feel comfortable grabbing a fresh one. These actions and more are being set up to ensure a safe and healthy wedding can take place.
