It all started the year that everyone wants to forget - 2020. As the infamous Covid-19 pandemic made history, so did we. Our journey started as two strangers taking a chance on online dating. We matched on Hinge and a week later made plans to meet at Outback. It was an instant connection as we talked and laughed through dinner, and spontaneously continued the night at Main Event where we couldn't end the night until I beat him at air hockey. Good food, beer, and a little competition is the best start to any relationship, right?!

From a man who genuinely cannot keep a secret, I was blindsided. After months of online browsing, Anthony came across the perfect ring while on the road but got home in time to snag the last one in San Antonio. In the spur of the moment, he planned a day for the boys and us to go to Fiesta, and then made dinner reservations at Pappadeauxs (one of our favorites - cajun seafood). The restaurant witnessed me being speechless as he got on one knee. The speech he planned ended up coming out as only 2 sentences, but that's all I needed to hear. The tears started coming a few minutes later when he told me that he asked my dad's permission in person when he was in San Antonio and called my brother for his permission. I'm not a fan of surprises.. except for this one!
