A wedding during a pandemic?!

Answer

We are staying up to date on the most current restrictions on large gatherings and will keep you updated regarding new guidelines that may change how we gather and how many people can attend. We are optimistic that we will be able to celebrate together and therefore request that those who are eligible get vaccinated at least 2 weeks before our wedding. Thank you for your flexibility and understanding as we navigate this process.

What does "black tie optional" actually mean?

Answer

It means that if you have black tie attire and you'd like to wear it, then you can! Examples include a James Bond-like tuxedo for men, and a formal gown for women. If you don't have black tie attire, or simply don't want to wear it, that's ok too! Please make sure to look spiffy regardless of what you wear.

I've never been to a Jewish wedding. What's it like?

Answer

If you're excited for an amazingly fun extravaganza with lots of singing and dancing, then you're in luck! There are many fun and meaningful traditions that accompany Jewish weddings, before, during and after the ceremony. At the ceremony, we will provide a pamphlet with information that explains many of the traditions and are more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

Minnesota in September?! It's going to be freezing, right?!

Answer

WRONG! Just like most places, Minnesota is cold in the winter and beautiful every other time of year. There are tons of activities to do year-round and autumn in Minnesota is one of the best times of year. Leave your parka at home!

Question

I've never been to Minnesota. How can I fit in?

Answer

Here are a few easy steps: 1) Be "Minnesota nice". For example, if someone bumps into you, you also say "Sorry!" If someone cuts you off in traffic, say "That's ok, I'm sure they have some place to be!" 2) Refer to northern Minnesota as "up north" and frequently mention how you spend time there over the summer. 3) Never say a bad thing about Joe Mauer, Kent Hrbek, Kevin Garnett, Zach Parise or Fran Tarkenton (or at least pretend like you know who they are)!
