Our Story
It was a cool, Fall day on September 17th, 2011 at Robin Hill Campground. Evan camped there often, but it was Sydney’s only visit. Evan asked her to dance. She actually said no, but Evan was persistent & they ended the night with a kiss!
The next day, 13-year-old Sydney & Evan began texting, assuming, like most middle school crushes, it would fade in a few days. It never did. They spent countless hours talking & quickly formed a strong bond.
For nearly two years they stayed close through texting & FaceTime. In 2013, during a return trip to Six Flags to pick up Sydney’s brother’s forgotten iPod, her mom agreed to take her to see Evan. That visit changed everything! Their long distance relationship began with monthly visits, and soon became drives twice a week to see each other. In 2018, Evan transferred to Kutztown University so they could be together every day!
On November 11, 2024, Evan took Sydney on a birthday trip to Paris & proposed at the Eiffel Tower. She was so surprised!
