We'd love to see our family & friends get dressed up for our big day. The dress code is formal. Ladies can wear floor length & midi formal dresses (no whites, creams, or blushes, please!) while gentlemen can wear suit & tie.
While we love all little (and big) ones, we have chosen to make our day for adults only. Thank you for understanding!
Yes! Prior to the ceremony, shuttle service will begin promptly at 4:15pm, picking up from both Old Edwards Inn (31 Church St) & 200 Main (200 Main St) with routes coming approximately every 10 minutes until 4:45pm. Shuttles will resume after dinner, returning to the same downtown Highlands locations starting from 9:30pm through the close of the reception. Look for buses labeled "Old Edwards Inn." If you are not staying at either location, feel free to park on Main St. downtown and walk to the closest pick up spot. Parking in town is free, and you can leave your cars overnight. Please note, the last shuttle before the ceremony will leave at 4:45pm, please plan accordingly to ensure you'll make it.
There is very limited parking at the venue, only available for specific cases. Should you choose to forgo the provided transportation, please discuss with one of us, to see if we can make accommodations. P.S.: An open bar, dark night, and mountain roads do not make the safest combination! Stay safe please!
No! The town of Highlands, NC does not have Uber or Lyft service. There are taxi providers, but these need to be scheduled in advance. Please check the travel tab for specific taxi information.
Although we don't have a crystal ball, we expect the temperature to be in the 50s for our wedding weekend! Both the ceremony and reception are indoors, but please bring a jacket if you feel you'll be chilly. We will be in the mountains, after all!
Yes and no. Please do not pull out your phone during the ceremony. Please wait until after we say, "I do," to partake and share! Our hashtag is #happilyevertsafter.
