Our Story

First comes college, then comes marriage

Josh and Meg first met in January of 2018. Meg had just returned from a semester abroad in Florence, Italy while Josh had transferred to Ithaca College the semester she was away. It didn’t take long for the two to meet as Josh was already in her apartment when she started to move herself in. That may have been their first interaction, but they didn’t get to really know each other until a month later when they attended the same party. The drinks were flowing and the conversations were going. Josh asked her on their very first date the next day. The couple enjoyed pizza and burgers at the Ithaca Ale House. Not long after, Josh invited Meg on a quick weekend trip to NYC where they enjoyed her first-ever Yankees game. They quickly bonded over their love for sports, music, dancing and everything else. By the end of the weekend, they were officially official. Fast forward to 2019 when they spent the summer living together on the Upper East Side. It didn't take long for the two to decide it was time to take the next step in their relationship and adopt a kitten. It only made sense that they named him Kanan after 50 Cent’s character in the show Power. After attending every Yankee game that they could, eating at all of their favorite restaurants, and many many episodes of Power, Meg decided that this is where she could see herself living after graduation. In February of 2020, Meg moved to the city full time, ready to start her post college life with her best friend. Little did anyone know, the entire world would shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic, just a month after the big move. They floated back and forth between Florida and New York, living with both of their families and never leaving each other throughout almost an entire year of quarantine. The Covid shutdown had negatively impacted many relationships worldwide, but it only made the love between these two grow stronger. They eventually decided that it was time to open that love to another furry friend, Kiki. In 2021, they got their first apartment together in Murray Hill and have been there ever since. This apartment has always meant so much to the both of them and now continues to hold a special place in their hearts. It is where Josh proposed the night of September 19, 2023. The couple is so excited to start this new chapter and can’t wait to celebrate with everyone!
