What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Welcome to colorful Colorado where the weather can change within a matter of hours! We suspect the temperature to be around 45 degrees during the day this time of year, however nights can drop to 17 degrees. Please be prepared for cold and snow! Winter is one of the most beautiful times of years in Colorado!

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

Dress Code is semi-formal, however, please dress warm and be prepared for colder temperatures! Our wedding will be indoors in a heated facility.

Where is the ceremony and reception taking place? Will they be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our Ceremony and reception will take place at Pinecrest in Palmer Lake, Colorado. Just 25 minutes outside of Colorado Springs. Beautiful mountains are the backdrop for our wedding venue! Our wedding ceremony and reception will be held indoors.

What are your wedding colors?

Answer

Midnight Blue with Red, Pink, White Roses. This symbolizes the gentleness of love that compliments the strength of the uniform.

Where should guest park?

Answer

If you require handicap parking please let Nick or Megan know, so spots can be reserved for you in front of the receptions are. There will be a golf cart shuttle service for anyone who may need it. There is parking on the north side of the reception hall. There is also parking further up by the ceremony space. Kindly refrain from parking in front of peoples' houses that surround the venue.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Ceremony starts a 3:00pm Sharp! Kindly show up at least 30 minutes early to grab a good seat! Plan for poor travel conditions (ex. snow/ice/low visibility)

Can I bring a +1?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Where should I stay for the weekend?

Answer

We have registered for a limited number of reserved rooms at the Academy Hotel from January 20th- January 22nd, checkout January 23rd. Rooms are available at a reduced rate and includes morning breakfast. Please ask for the Walker-Fira Wedding at this #: 719--598-5770 to reserve a room.
