We met at our local church in downtown Savannah. One Sunday after service, Fiorella walked up to a close friend to see if he wanted to grab lunch with the group. What she didn’t realize was that Sam was standing right there talking with him. A quick introduction turned into an unexpected beginning. Not long after, our group headed to BowTie BBQ, where good food led to even better conversation. Somewhere between bites, pickleball came up, and before we knew it, plans were made. Straight from lunch, we went to Daffin Park, where we played pickleball in perfect Savannah weather. There were nonstop laughs, great company, and an ease neither of us could ignore. To this day, Fiorella insists it was the best day of her life. From that moment on, we were inseparable. We grew closer while deepening our relationship with God, supporting each other inside the church and building a life together outside of it. As time passed, Fiorella realized her apartment lease was ending, and that she had basically been spending every night at Sam’s anyway. After lots of prayer and conversation, we decided to move in together. Then came the dogs. Fiorella had been begging, but Sam—who is allergic—wasn’t convinced we were ready. After praying for the right dogs at the right time, Fiorella met two little puppies who wouldn’t leave her side. Fiorella really wanted at least one of them, Sam took one look at them… and somehow let her walk away with two. As our life together continued to grow, so did our love. We reached a place where we knew, without a doubt, that we were ready for forever. With full hearts and so much excitement, we can’t wait to start this next chapter as husband and wife.
