We met during our Junior year of high school (2013) when a mutual friend suggested that go to prom together. Our first encounter was at Haden's house, when Fion unknowingly attended Haden's 17th Birthday party then we started dating a few months later. We attended both Junior and Senior prom together and spent the winters skiing and summers fishing on the Saint Croix river. We both had thought this relationship was fun in high school but may not go on to college. Little did we know, we shared the same goal of attending the University of Saint Thomas. Once freshman year started, things got more serious. We supported one another throughout college. We grew up together and created a wonderful friend group that has continued to be our support system to this day. After 9 years of walking through life together, Haden finally decided to propose! It was April 9th, 2022 when Haden took Fion to the same spot in Stillwater where he had asked her to be his girl friend 9 years ago, but this time asked her to be his wife. She said Yes!
