Kyparissia old town (pano poli)
The best part of Kyparissia! Cute shops and restaurants on the sides of a small street in the oldest part of the town. You need a car to get here because it's a steep walk up the hill. On busy days/nights park your car before you reach the top.
Kyparissia Castle
Amazing views of the sea! Go right before the sun sets for a picture-perfect moment :) Afterwards you can visit one of the cafes or restaurants in the old town of Kyparissia, right next to the castle. Parking can be tricky during busy hours so you may need to park your car before you reach the top of the hill, where the castle and the old town are located.
Peristerias Archaeological Site
Archaelogical site close to Raches that you can also hike to (it takes approx. 1 hour).
Moni Katsimikadas - Μονη Κατσιμικαδας
Beautiful monastery surrounded by trees 20 minutes from Kyparissia. The road goes up the mountain so there are plenty of sharp turns you need to pay attention to.
Agiannakis Beach
Very big beach, ideal for busy days. Bring shade and water (there is a beach bar but it's not always open). Shower available but no toilets. Pro tip: If you notice sticks put in the sand in the shape of a runway, they are there to protect sea turtle nests and help the babies find their way to the sea!
Sunny Paradise
Beach bar with lots of facilities, including shower, sunbeds, restaurant, bar, beach-volley, toilets. The water is quite deep!
Stomio Beach Bar
Small beach with sunbeds and a beach-bar, you either park behind the beach bar (that road is a bit narrow and rough) or next to the beach on the top of a small cliff and then walk down some stairs (this is an easier option, this is a pin to that spot: https://goo.gl/maps/FhtGnwbPcEKG3v7o8 ).
Faky tavern - ΦΑΚΥ ΤΑΒΕΡΝΑ
Cute little restaurant on the main square of Raches village with good food, very close to the wedding location. It's a good idea to call ahead and make a reservation on weekends. Ask for a table in the backyard!
Stathmos Kyparissia
Good souvlaki, housed in the old train station of Kyparissia!
Palia Agora Restaurant
Good food and great location in the old town!
Paramithaki
Home-cooked Greek meals, usually with lots of options for vegetarians too!
Sunset Bar
Cocktails and drinks with a beach view, good option when you are in a party mood! Pro tip: try the "tsipourito" cocktail made with the Greek spirit tsipouro.
Palioprama
As Greek as it gets! Traditional "kafenes" in the old town of Kyparissia with small dishes (meze) that you enjoy while sipping tsipouro or local wine (it's quite strong!). If you are lucky maybe you'll enjoy traditional live music too :)
Palios Neromilos - The Old Watermill
Beautiful picturesque cafe very close to Kyparissia, ideal for breakfast, lunch or an afternoon snack. Ask one the ladies to show you how the watermill works! You can sit on the terrace on the second floor or in the lovely garden with natural shade from trees (you can miss it if you don't know where it is so just ask your server to show you the way). Pro tip: you can buy lots of traditional products here, including homemade jams and pasta, flour made from the watermill and more.
Algorithmos cafe bar - ΑλγόΡυθμος
All day cafe that turns into a bar in the evening, located in the old town of Kyparissia.
Seráno
Ice cream and traditional desserts. Try galaktoboureko or the local "macaron", which is very far from the original but still great ;)
Neda Waterfalls
Beautiful waterfalls 1 hour away from Kyparissia. You can explore the area and take a dip in the water (it's super cold)!
Polylimnio Waterfalls
Beautiful waterfalls south of Kyparissia. You can combine a visit here with a trip to Pylos!
Chrisi Ammos beach
Beautiful beach with shallow water and lots of things to discover around. Bring water and shade! Make a day-trip out of it by going to Gialova for dinner after your swim.
Voidokilia Beach
Probably the most famous beach in the Peloponnese! Bring shade and water. Walk around and explore the castle located at the end of the beach. Pylos is close by so you can visit after the beach!
