FAQs

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to Fiona.
Question

What is the dress code and what should I expect from the venue?

Answer

We are excited to be celebrating on a working ranch in the mountains of southern Colorado! Dress code is country and western — cowboy boots and hats are strongly encouraged, and casual suits and flowy dresses in earthy tones and floral prints are perfect. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors in the pasture and gravel yard, with dinner and dancing moving into the barn. Leave the heels at home and break out your best boots!

Question

Where is the wedding located and how do I get there?

Answer

The wedding will be held 7 miles west of Gardner, CO — a beautiful and remote mountain town in southern Colorado. The nearest airports are Colorado Springs (2 hrs) and Denver (3 hrs). We strongly recommend booking accommodations early as options are limited in the area.

Question

What should I expect from the weather?

Answer

August in Gardner means warm sunny afternoons (high 70s) but evenings cool down quickly — expect temperatures in the low 60s by dancing time. We recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap, especially for later in the night.

Question

What should I know before arriving in Gardner?

Answer

Gardner is remote. There are no restaurants, gas stations, or grocery stores in Gardner, so we recommend stocking up in Pueblo, Walsenburg, or Westcliffe before heading in. Cell service is also limited, so download your directions before you lose signal.

Question

Is there anything to do in Gardner?

Answer

Fiona and Marcos would love to spend time with anyone coming in early. You are welcome to hang on the ranch with us hiking, relaxing by the river, or getting a ranch tour. Text/call Fiona if you'd like more details. Gardner does have one bar, Four Seasons Bar, that is cash only. They do have a pool table and cold beer.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones — children are welcome at our celebration.
