Camping!

Potential winter camping!! Dress warm. Be prepared in the event it is an early winter.

At the upper Schmid Ranch we have access to both car and tent camping for September 28th (Friday) and September 29th (after celebration). With your RSVP please note if you are interested in camping. It will be on a first come first serve basis and flat spots for car camping are available. Friday night a light dinner will be provided Sunday morning light brunch will also be available. Note: Due to draught conditions the Schmid Ranch wells have run dry. Please be prepared with your own camp water.

Ceremony

2:15 pm - 2:45 pm

We will be outside and it will be the end of September at 10,000ft. Be prepared. Heels should not be worn and bring layers and a warm winter jacket as it does get very cold when the sun goes down. A cute shawl will not be enough to keep you warm.

There will be a shuttle leaving from Telluride at the courthouse at 1:00 to take you up to the celebration. If you are driving up to the ceremony there will be signs to follow. Park your vehicle at the lower part of the Ranch by the barns. A shuttle will take you up to the upper ranch where the ceremony will be. If you are camping with us, please set up at the upper ranch well before the ceremony (ceremony starts at 2:15). There will be plenty of room to camp. If it is snowing and blowing sideways we will do the ceremony in the lower ranch barn where we will be having the reception. Hopefully the weather will be beautiful and we will be having the ceremony at the upper part of the ranch. We request that you turn off your phones during the ceremony please. After the ceremony we will be walking down through the ranch woods (approximately 1-1.5 hrs) to the reception at the lower ranch. For those who prefer not to hike, there will be a shuttle to take you back down to the reception.
