Ahihi-Kinau Natural Area Reserve
Down a bumpy single lane road past all the resorts in Wailea you can find Ahihi-Kinau Natural Area Reserve. Excellent snorkeling and a hike to La Perouse are all on offer down this way. Go early it gets HOT! (1 Hour drive without traffic)
Haleakala Crater
For Sunrise You'll need a reservation and park pass. Bring your wool socks and winter coat, sunrise at 10,000 feet is freezing! After 7:00am You need a park pass only. Bring layers, the sun warms the place up a bit, but it will not be as warm as sea level. (1 and 30 minute drive)
Ho'okipa Beach Park
For experienced surfers...and turtle watchers. (45 minute drive)
Honolua Bay
Word class surf break in one area and sheltered spot for snorkeling in another. Short hike through a forest to the bay where you can snorkel. (30 minute drive)
ʻĪao Valley State Monument
Beautiful state park with very approachable short hikes to the "Iao Needle". (30 minute drive)
Launiupoko State Park
Launiupoko is an excellent spot for beginner surfers. They have a man-built wading pool for kids as well. Not recommended for snorkeling. (10 minute drive)
Nakalele Blowhole
Short intermediate hike over sharp rock. Leads to one of the best blowholes on the island. (45 minute drive)
Waihe'e Ridge Trail
Intermediary challenging hike. 4 miles round trip. Beautiful views of the North Shore. Do not attempt with any threatening weather. (45 minute drive)
Koholā Brewery
Known for its local beers and on site brewing. (15 minute drive)
Kapalua Bay Beach
Amazing golf course. 36 Holes. (30 minute drive)
Maui Pineapple Tour
For those interested in seeing the Pineapple Farms. (40 minute drive)
Ali'i Kula Lavender
On the slopes of one of our favorite sunset spots. (60 minute drive)
