Olivia and Steven’s love story depends entirely on who you ask. Olivia will tell you they met sophomore year of college through mutual friends during her visits to the Pike Fraternity house. Steven however vividly recalls their first encounter was when Olivia and her sorority sisters gave a presentation at his fraternity house and the sparks started flying. Their story truly began during Mizzou’s 2016 Homecoming weekend. Olivia’s mom, Kristin, came to visit — and Steven made quite the impression. Between sharing a mechanical bull ride, a few drinks, and a Tiger football win, he became unforgettable. After that weekend, Olivia and Steven kept in touch through the rest of college. In 2018, Olivia was accepted into Mizzou’s Respiratory Therapy program — but had to move to St. Louis for it. Steven remained in Columbia, yet the two regularly made weekend trips to see each other. In December 2018, they officially became a couple. After graduation, life took them to different cities again: Steven moved to Kansas City for an internship with Sporting KC, while Olivia returned to Chicago to begin her career at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Despite the miles, they made it work — and in May 2020, Steven joined Olivia in Chicago. In June 2022, they moved in together (along with their beloved fat cat, Flea) and began building their life side by side. After many years of memories made together and the inevitable "When are you going to propose?" questions, Steven popped the question over the 2024 Fourth of July weekend in Georgia — surrounded by friends, family, and lots of love. And now, after 8 long years together, they can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with all of you.
