We met on the phone. Yes that’s right, we are a dating app success story! No, we can hardly believe it either. The first thing we ever said to one another is “I read real books too.” And from there the connection was immediate and we both wish we saved that initial conversations but how could we have predicted how special those messages would be now. After our first date both of us told our best friends that we thought we had met our soulmates and we couldn’t be more happy and grateful to have found each other!

We knew within the first month that we had found something incredibly special, so it wasn’t long before we were talking about getting married. Far before we brought it up with family and friends we were thinking about dates and venues and ring shopping. We bought our rings together on a magical trip to Newport Oregon and so when the time felt right we decided it only made sense to propose to each other. We hired a photographer and went to the same bench in Tahoe where we took our first photo together on our 3rd date. The mini vows we said to each other as we exchanged our rings were precious. Neither one of us could imagine doing it any other way.
