Downtown Huntington has a ton of history, nature, boutique shopping, art & good food and drink. There is a lighthouse tour available via boat, trails at Heckscher Park along with Heckscher Museum of Art. The Shed, The Farm Italy, Tap Room, McKeown's, Six Harbors Brewing Company, and Kashi are all great spots depending on what vibe you are looking for. Check out Little Vincents Pizza famously known for their Cold Cheese Slice.
This area is filled with cute shops, good restaurants, coffee shops & places to grab a drink! Check out Teddy's Bully Bar, where Alex's brother, Frank, used to be a server. The Homestead for a drink, Alex's go to spot. Or Del's Bar & Grill, Isabelle's favorite dive bar. We also love grabbing a drink and sitting by the water at Cooper Bluff - they often have live music. We also recommend The Audrey: Kitchen & Bar, L'Etoile, and Provisions Bread & Cheese.
Great food close by the Hilton Garden Inn
Alex's favorite thing to do in NY! He has caught many fish on the Laura Lee. He would like everyone to know that he has won the biggest fish pot many times and is a legend.
Recommended place to Golf
The Sunset Club at Tappen Beach is our favorite beach bar! Jones Beach is the best spot to have a beach day. Both are 20/25 minutes away from the hotel.
If you would like to come early or stay longer, there's so much in the city to do! See a Broadway show, walk through Central Park, tour the Statue of Liberty, visit the 9/11 museum, shop on Time Square, Walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, try the Top of the Rock tour. The hotel is about a 40 min train ride away. Reach out to Isabelle or Alex if you would like any additional recommendations!
This used to be Alex's Nonno's pizzeria, Nonno John, you can find a photo of him on the wall! He sold it to three brothers that worked at his restaurant. They still give Alex free pizza and Italian ice when he comes in. Nonno John owned many restaurants after moving to the US from Italy.
We recommend admiring the concrete work, not walking across. Alex's Nonno Gaetano was the concrete foreman for the bridge when it was built after moving here from Italy.
