Thomas first fell for Findlay during their senior year post-prom party in 2011. Sparks flew, hearts fluttered… and then he waited ten years to ask her out. (The man believes in playing the long game). Fast forward to June 2021 - Thomas finally made his move, and they had their first date at El Rey. Findlay was so head-over-heels that even her Uber driver noticed, telling her, “Looks like he’s got you on cloud nine.” (He wasn’t wrong). Problem was, she was leaving for Florida in just a few days. So naturally, she came up with a totally fake excuse to see him again. She said she had a gift card to Wm Mulherin’s Sons that was about to expire and absolutely had to use it before she left for Florida. When Thomas agreed, she sprinted to the restaurant and bought one on the spot. Dedication or destiny? You decide. The date was magical, the chemistry was undeniable, and from that point on, they were all in. They made it work through the chaos of residency - Findlay in veterinary Internal Medicine (finished in 2023) and Thomas, currently wrapping up his Radiology residency and starting his Musculoskeletal Radiology fellowship in July 2025. Now they’re building a life filled with love, laughter, and plenty of snuggles with their dog, Beanbag (the real boss of the house). And after all that waiting, lying (just a tiny bit), and mid-distance dating, they’re finally tying the knot - and they couldn’t be more excited.
