Before Kait and Matt started dating, they met about 4 years prior at the Ringwood Saint Patrick's Day Parade. That's actually when their story almost ended... Kait first met Matt's sister, Kara, at the parade and after some exchange of laughs Kara automatically decided Kait was meant to be part of the family. When trying to introduce Kait to her brother on the same day, Matt made it clear he wanted nothing to do with the conversation. Kait quickly bolted out of there (PHEW!). As the years went on, Matt found himself single and in search for love. Mutual friends of Matt and Kait suggested Matt reach out to her and give it another try, but with her heart set on the West Coast for a travel job opportunity Matt hesitated. With the help of his gym friends and trainer at Top Breed Fitness, Matt took the time to work on himself mentally and physically. Little did Matt know, one of his gym friends at Top Breed Fitness was KAIT'S AUNT. What a small world? Although Matt needed a little kick in the butt from Aunt Sheri, he eventually reached out to Kait in hopes of scoring a date. At the time she was casually dating someone else (womp womp) and not to mention - "Isn't that the guy who was mean to me at the Saint Patrick's Day Parade 4 years ago?" After a few weeks of dating "the other guy" and it not working out, Kait boldly reached out to Matt. The rest is as they say, "History." Kait and Matt have now been "officially" dating since June of 2019 <3
