The Atlanta Beltline is an amazing linear park and transportation corridor that will eventually connect 22 miles around the city. The Eastside Trail is know for it's shopping, vistas of the Midtown skylines, and a great place to walk or bike. Sarah used to work right off of the Beltline, and we would bike home together from work!
The Atlanta Botanical Garden is a 30 acres botanical garden located adjacent to Piedmont Park in Midtown. The gardens and shady woodlands feature plant collections including roses, herbs, conifers, carnivorous plants, and more.
This 15-block walkable district includes more than 1.5M square feet of commercial including dozens of unique retailers, and 45+ local and national restaurants. Sarah and Finch live very close to Decatur Square and love being able to enjoy the local shops and restaurants.
Historic Oakland Cemetery is Atlanta’s oldest public park and the final resting place of many of the city’s most noted citizens. Less than a mile from downtown, its 48 acres are full of treasures – history and gardens, sculpture and architecture, ancient oaks and magnolias. Sarah and Finch used to live walking distance from Oakland Cemetery and have very fond memories of time spent here with Atlanta's eternal citizens.
Inman Park is Atlanta’s first planned residential suburb as well as it's first electric trolley neighborhood. Created at the cusp of the 20th century, this Victorian neighborhood — curved streets, generous residential lots and verdant parks — was built upon the wrecked land of Atlanta’s Civil War battlefield, two miles east of downtown Atlanta. Sarah and Finch love looking at the old Victorian home in Inman Park and it is a great neighborhood to check out off the Eastside Beltline trail! There are restaurants and shops in this area as well.
