They met in a place neither of them expected—at a tattoo shop, where Bree had just started working. Steph was a regular there, often dropping by to hang out with her friend who was the shop owner, not knowing that one of those visits would change everything. The day they were introduced, there was this instant, unexplainable connection—a sense of familiarity, a quiet knowing that they were meant to meet. Something about it felt easy. Right. Like the universe had gently nudged them into each other's paths at the perfect time. Not long after, Steph slid into Bree’s DMs, casually starting a conversation that just… flowed. What began as small talk quickly turned into something deeper—late-night conversations full of laughter, curiosity, and honesty. They were learning each other, slowly and sweetly, and it all felt so natural. Bree still remembers the butterflies she’d get when Steph would walk past her room at the shop—her heart skipping a beat, wondering how someone could already feel so significant. And Steph felt it too: this pull, this quiet magic between them.
Steph vividly recalls the moment she knew she knew she was in love: it was one quiet night on Bree’s couch. Bree was focused on a tattoo design, and Steph was just there, soaking in the stillness. With her legs resting on Bree’s lap, she looked over and felt a wave of peace—the kind of contentment she always dreamed love would feel like. Bree looked up, caught her gaze, and smiled. That was the moment. No fireworks, no grand gesture—just love, calm and certainty. For Bree, it was the little things. The way Steph spoke—thoughtful, kind, always present. Her style. Her taste in music. Her love for a bold glass of cabernet. Their first date? Steph brought flowers and a box of crystals she had handpicked just for Bree. And when she asked Bree to be her girlfriend, it was under the new moon at the top of the St. Pete Pier, offering her house key as a symbol of trust and new beginnings. Every moment with her was full of intention and love.
When their one-year anniversary rolled around, Steph planned something unforgettable. They traveled to the North Georgia mountains, to a storybook town called Helen, under the guise of a dreamy anniversary photoshoot at Uhuburg Castle. What Bree didn’t know was that Steph had planned a proposal. With the help of a photographer and the castle staff, everything was perfectly timed. As Bree turned her back for a photo inside a gazebo, Steph dropped to one knee. When Bree turned around, Steph asked her to spend forever together—and Bree said yes. Since that day, their love has only deepened. Through life’s highs and lows, they’ve built something grounded, supportive, and full of joy. They share a passion for travel, deep talks, spontaneous adventures, and becoming the best versions of themselves—together. They believe they were always meant to find one another—and now, they can’t wait to begin this next chapter as wife and wife, surrounded by the people they love most.
