We look Forward to Celebrating with you

We went out to Olive Garden (real original, I know), and he was a perfect gentleman. We were absolutely smitten with each other already, and knew it was meant to last.

We went on a weekend-long trip to Asheville and loved every minute of it. We spent the weekend wandering from store to store and eating delicious foods! Are you noticing a trend here?

We planned to see two of our favorite artists at the end of September a day apart. Unfortunately, we lost Devin's cat, Jackass, the day before the first of the series, and contemplated cancelling. We decided to go anyway. We enjoyed the concerts but still miss him every single day.

Cam adores Christmas and decorated the entire house, including a faux fireplace in the window seat. We still find tinsel in the apartment months later. Devin did admit he enjoyed the decorations quite a lot.

When the pandemic began, we all thought it would be over quickly, but months and months later, it's still here. We're still moving forward and moving up, as things continue to change. That brings us to...

In the midsts of a pandemic, while unpacking from a move, he got down on one knee and proposed with a family heirloom from Shelby's grandmother, a single diamond on a gold band. "Will you actually marry me?" were his exact words. Of course, it was a "Yes."

We decided to gather with some friends and have a "Year and a day" wedding. It was a small ceremony with a few words shared and it was beautiful. We didn't have a photographer and it wasn't made official with the courts, but it was very sweet. We just couldn't wait to tell each other we wanted to be together forever. We still looked forward to sharing a wonderful day with all of our friends and family, but the pandemic had other plans.

We'd originally planned to have our "big wedding" around this time. Plans changed due to the pandemic and illnesses across our families, but we're still here. We've rescheduled and look forward to sharing our big day with you!
