Taylor and Morgan met in 4th grade at Carden Jackson School in Pearland, Texas. Taylor had a crush on Morgan but Morgan did not care much for Taylor. She thought boys were icky! They were in the same class for two years. Taylor switched schools. They did not speak for 5 years. One day, Morgan saw a picture of Taylor on Facebook and thought he was cute. She decided to message Taylor to catch up. Their schools were rivals on the football field. Taylor played football and Morgan was an athletic trainer. She thought maybe she could catch up with him and to say hi to him at the game. He did not respond in time to the message. A few months later, she then decided to try a second time to correspond with him. Something was telling her to try again. This time she was not going to be so nice. Coincidentally, he finally responded after months of her waiting. They have been talking non-stop ever since. They went out on an awkward first date to the mall with a group of friends (yikes!) then did not see each other for a month out of embarrassment (we were strange). They decided to give dating another try a few months later at a kindergarten play (I know! strange venue choice.) that Morgan was working at. Taylor met up with her after work to enjoy the play. The kids were adorable and the setting was a bit less awkward. After the play ended, they talked for hours about likes, dislikes, future plans/goals and how much they really enjoyed each other's company. They made it work better than they could have ever imagined. Started officially dating August 3, 2013. They were engaged on October 27, 2015. Finally going to be the Phillips on September 29, 2018.
