Kathy and Monique met first day of freshman orientation at Santa Monica High School. Both came from small middle schools and were not ready to take on a school as big as SAMOHI. Together, they went on to study at Santa Monica College and transferred to UCLA. You can catch them together binge watching the new "hit" show and rewatching the old shows. Monique is funny and is always ready to have a fun, spontaneous night. She is also the type of person you can call at 2am and will be willing and able to help. Both only children, Kathy and Monique became surrogate sisters for each other.
Charles Kleinman
Best Man
Jack's younger brother, they share a strong passion for LA sports and the "Raaaaaaaaaaiders" together. "Cheeks" is (in)famous for his enthusiasm and humor that has been apparent ever since he was three years old with a garden rake in hand chasing Jack and Chris Jobson, who didn't know if they should laugh or fear for their lives! You can always count on Chuck to have a new, delicious dish he wants to "whip up" at home or go out to try. Charles is an incredibly loyal friend and family member, always going the extra mile to help out those he loves...as soon as whatever game he's watching is over.

Pilar, or as many know her as "Pily," is one of Kathy's many cousins, though often felt like her older sister. Born and raised in Guatemala, Pily now resides in the huge--and fun!-- Mexico City. Fortunately for us, she works for United Airlines and thus is frequently able to visit us in LA. Each time she comes, she brings her hilarious wit and one (or three!) bottles of delicious authentic agave tequila.

Jack's best friend/roommate/study partner/debate opponent, Ryan and Jack first met in ninth grade and have been largely inseparable since. The two have spent countless hours in high school, college, and now adulthood laughing, eating, listening to music, watching sports, playing video games, watching shows, debating about important stuff, debating about nonsense, talking about cleaning the apartment, paying someone else to clean the apartment, and falling asleep on couches. Ryan is the type of friend who will always answer your call and help you...as long as his phone is turned on and charged.
Jessica Tardif

One of the "camp friends," Jessica and Kathy may have met at camp but you're more likely to find them together at LA's top brunch restaurants. The two fit the profile of "LA millennials" oscillating between fun outdoor hikes or beach days and trendy restaurant scenes. They do their best in keeping "the boys" (Trevor and Jack) up to date with pop culture, though that seems to be an increasingly difficult task as they get older!
Trevor Tonne

Trevor has been Jack's closest "camp friend" since they were seven years old. They formed a summer trio along with Winston DeGraw at Cali Camp and the three absolutely, positively, definitely never got into any trouble at all. While Winston has been living/sailing up north, Trevor and Jack still regularly hang out with each other and "the girls" (Kathy and Jessica). With or without "the girls," Jack and Trevor have long enjoyed snowboard trips and the occasional heavy metal concert together. Though he may remember differently, he was never quite able to score a goal past Jack in soccer.
Sarah Nicole Santizo

You may know her as Sarah or Nikki, she will let you know what she prefers. Sarah and Kathy have been inseparable since Sarah was born. One year apart in age, these two cousins grew up together. Throughout their childhood they could be seen wearing matching Cinderella costumes, updating their Myspace pages, and watching lots of comedy and horror movies together. Sarah can lighten up any room with her fun attitude, and to this day, Sarah always keeps Kathy laughing.
AJ Howard

AJ is one of Jack's closest friends since they met ninth grade and the life of whichever party he is at. Like Ryan, AJ also went to both high school and UCLA with Jack, though fortunately the world was spared the almost certain destruction that would have followed had they lived together. The two have made (and forgot) countless memories together since their days terrorizing the streets of the San Fernando Valley. Soccer teammates for many years, the two spend many hours together playing, watching, and talking about the games and teams they love.
Dr. Annette Kleinman

Jack's younger sister--and another "camp friend!"-- Annette is the most recent member of the family to become a doctor. After living the good life up in Santa Barbara, Annette has been on the east coast in Virginia for the past four years, making it difficult for us to go on our fun nights out with Cole and her. Luckily, Annette is back in Los Angeles for her OBGYN residency and the hangouts have already picked back up! Plus, Cole and she now give everyone the perfect excuse to go out to Hollywood with their new place; once she's finished her second Peloton ride of the day of course.

Long-term boyfriend of Jack's sister Annette. Cole shares our love of LA sports but as the family attorney (just kidding) he keeps us grounded, up to date and informed on all the world's political and business ongoings. He always is willing to try new things, but is ready with his own cool restaurant/bar/event suggestions if needed. A true friend, Cole is as kind and patient a man you will meet and an integral part of our family.
Julia Lewis

Another "camp friend," Julia and Kathy have climbed the camp hierarchy from junior counselors to supervisors. Over time, they have become close friends, bonding over their love of cheerleading and Grey's Anatomy. As a recent graduate from UCLA's Master's Education Program, and now a 1st grade teacher, Julia was always happy to help Kathy get through the same program and discuss their experiences teaching. Julia is a friend Kathy can always count on, especially when she needs any creative/crafty ideas.
Dr. Nick McGlynn

Photoed here with his recent bride Becca, Nick is Jack's roommate, friend, and fellow anesthesiologist from medical school at USC. Most importantly, Nick was "The Skipper" for the softball team they played on with their med school friends, and thus appropriately represents the whole gang. Nick is as entertaining as they come, with each day filled with multiple laughs in between the daily existential crises that often had to be solved by fellow roommate Kavi Gupta. Jack and Nick embodied the LA vs Boston sports rivalry, although Nick was famously witnessed cheering and chanting "Kobe!" as they all watched him score 60 points in his final game.
