Lindsey and Sean attended the same high school in Mechanicsville, Virginia. During Lindsey's freshman year and Sean's junior year, the two had the same mass communications class together. Due to Sean's "class clown" nature, it wasn't exactly love at first sight. However, a few years passed, and the two officially met through social media. They went on their first date on December 16, 2015. Lindsey still played hard-to-get, but Sean pursued her for the next 10 months anyway. She agreed to go on a second date in October. From that moment on, they fell in love and became inseparable!
Every winter, the King family plans a long weekend vacation. In December 2020, they decided to go to Wintergreen Resort. Each night was a specific theme, and that Saturday, December 19, 2020, was “semi-formal." Everyone was dressed nicely to take family pictures. Lindsey was upstairs finishing the last touches of her makeup when Megan, Sean’s sister, was shouting for her to quickly come down. As Lindsey was gullibly walking down the stairs, she saw Taylor, the photographer, at the bottom. She excitedly asked her, “what are you doing here?!” Little did she know after months of planning all of the details, the love of her life was standing out on the deck overlooking the beautiful mountains to ask her to become his wife. It was always important for Lindsey to have her family present when she got engaged. After Sean proposed, Lindsey immediately said, “I have to call my family!!”. He smiled eagerly and told Lindsey to turn around- Lindsey’s family was standing there right behind her. Lindsey and Sean’s proposal was magical. They finished the evening with a celebratory dinner with both sides of the family.
