Finally the Felchocks

We first met at the Tavern on Liberty in May of 2022. We find it unreal that it was just two years ago. Although, most people say "Time flies when you're having fun" or when you're planning a baby shower! Tristan and I first kissed on the corner of Liberty in front of the bar. I remember thinking "What man says 'Can I kiss you' and then grabs you anyway before you answer". I knew from that moment on that he was respectful enough to ask but would go after what he wanted. Tristan has yet to fail at getting anything he strives for, he's exceptional. On the night of our engagement, Tristan took me back to the Tavern on Liberty. He parked a few blocks away "traffic" was bad and "it would be hard to find a better spot". As we walked up the sidewalk I could see the Tavern in the distance. I was so excited because I had a feeling he might propose but I never expected how he did it. Tristan stopped about halfway between the car and the bar and asked if we could take a picture. I propped my phone up on the stairs of Muhlenberg College and Tristan went up and turned on the video. The next thing I knew he was holding my hands and he said "This spot means so much to me, this is where we had our first kiss". WHAT DO YOU THINK I SAID? Oh, well my wise mouth says "Actually it was like another block up". He looks at me and says "Cay.. I'm proposing". SHUT UP. Did I just correct the man who pulls out a ring like this? So rude! I apologize and he continues and then like everyone got to see, I did my happy elephant stomp thing. I was thrown off, caught off guard and I wouldn't have traded that proposal for the world. It was intimate and well thought out. It was us, just us being us. Then the whole time we're in the bar he's singing, "Going to the chapel and we're gonna get married!". Tristan, I love you so much and I wouldn't change a single moment of our lives. You are the best part of my day, I am so excited to spend the rest of our life togther.

I was very excited to meet Cay! I even told her that I would pick her up. Pump the brakes.. you don’t say that before a first date. Well.. we still went on the date! We met up for drinks at the Tavern on Liberty then went to shoot some pool. We could’ve spent hours and hours talking and never would’ve gotten bored. She was exactly the girl I was looking for to have and spend a life time with. Yes, I may not seem like a romantic type but I am. I loved talking with her and quickly learning about her. She checked the boxes for me, every single one! Be sure to ask us about it; we would love to you tell you all more.

Finally, full circle for the Felchocks! As the mother of the bride, aka, Lolli, I knew I wanted them to be together "forever", when Cay said " Mom, he's my best freind", that sealed the "forever", in my heart. I knew from the moment I met Tristan, and I saw him together with Cay, that together they would make their dreams come true. They chose life, love, commitment, family, and faith. It was then that "Team Caytan" was born.
