Upon turning 16 and getting a driver's license, of course I had to get a job to pay for all of my new adventures. So I did what any high schooler from Newport News does and went to the Busch Gardens job fair. I was randomly placed as a ride operator at the roller coaster Alpengeist. When I showed up for orientation and took my operator test, I was directed to a curly-haired boy in a red checkered shirt that matched my new uniform. He was the Alpengeist ride supervisor, and we spent all season working together and getting to know each other. After many shifts spent finding excuses to spend time together, in December 2011 after working a shift at Christmastown, Tyler asked me to be his girlfriend in the Busch Gardens employee parking lot.
