We met through mutual friends... Started out as great friends but after countless efforts by Brad to take me on a date (over 2 years of trying) I finally said Yes! Lol It was Texas Roadhouse.. He was a total gentleman.. opened the car door (that was short lived, told him it definitely wasn’t necessary).. paid for dinner. We sat in awkward silence for the majority of the truck ride, dinner and then the ride home! Ahaha But there was something about him I couldn’t shake. Now, looking back, I kick myself for not saying Yes to a date sooner! A few months went by since that date, texting every day from morning till night. I knew from that point on that I couldn't imagine my life without him in it. We became official October 6, 2016. We new that this was the beginning of our life long relationship! We are best friends and honestly couldn’t imagine my life without him! We’ve built this beautiful life together that I can’t wait to continue to build more and more!
In the midst of Covid, and the crappy year that was 2020 WE GOT ENGAGED! at his “happy place” Lake Wallenpaupack, in the Poconos on my parents wedding anniversary. It was totally a "us" week of “ if it can go wrong, it went wrong” moments, that ended down at the boat dock, (where again, I didn’t go along with his plan) standing side by side (because he refused to get down on one knee cuz it was so rocky), he asked me to marry him! To be completely honest I'm not even sure what my response was. I was just so happy to finally be able to marry my best friend and start the new chapter of our lives together.
