She grew up in Chatsworth, and he grew up in Dalton. In spite of having several mutual friends, their paths didn't cross for 26 years. They met in January of 2015 at a friend's house, but both of them were in relationships with other people. It would be five more months before they were both single and Andrew got up the nerve to ask Lindsey out on a date.
Told by Andrew: "Despite my first date with Lindsey being a disaster, our story began on May 30, 2015. I took a girl I wanted to impress to a restaurant I'd never been to. I acted like I've been to this Genghi's Grill 100 times, and when we walked in, we were given large bowls for what I assumed was food and zero instructions. Once we sat down with our empty bowls surrounded by raw meats and vegetables, I decided to come clean and tell her that I had no idea what we were supposed to do. After she laughed at me, with excellent teamwork, we figured out how to eat at this place. Since then we've been working as a team to build a life together, and we haven't looked back. Sometimes you need to go places you've never been to find things you've always wanted."
