Hi all! My name is Lyann and I have the pleasure of being Katherine's co-maid of honor. When I think about which friend I've known the longest, I immediately think Katherine. We went to elementary school through college together! However, our friendship didn't start until we became roommates at UW . To have known Katherine for over a decade has truly been an honor, and that's an understatement. She is fiercely loyal, caring, and freakin' intelligent and corky. She's the first one to call when you're feeling down and the person who will always tell you what you need to hear. Her blunt, yet loving correction has sharpened me to be the person I am today. She is my best friend and I'm excited to be by her side on this special day and beyond thrilled to walk in this new journey with her and Ry!

Hey folks! My name is Brian and I have the honor of being Ryan’s best man! Some of my favorite things are eating copious amounts of food, being basic, and demolishing Ryan at Settlers of Catan. When I first met Ryan, I never thought I’d be friends with someone so keen, quiet, and collected (basically the exact opposite of me). Now, I'm so glad I get to call him one of my closest friends. I’ve had the privilege of walking with Ryan and Katherine through their entire relationship: from days of harmless flirting to now, where their elderly-couple-like tendencies of doing jigsaw puzzles together and early bedtimes can’t help but make me think that they’re the perfect match. I'm so excited to see them tie the knot and can’t wait for their loved ones to share this beautiful moment with them!

Hello! My name is Stephanie and I'm so honored to be Katherine’s co-Maid of Honor! Although we can't agree on a timeline of when we became friends, I'm thankful that I've been able to witness a love like Katherine and Ryan's. I like to think of myself as the Harry to their Ron and Hermione (aka Harry and Hermione would've been great together but she chose Ron so whatevz) and would love nothing more than to celebrate my best friends on their momentous day! Katherine is the wiser, more beautiful, and iron-sharpening part of my heart. I couldn't survive this crazy life without her and wouldn't have many people left who share my impulsive need to binge watch TV and cry over fake characters. Simply put, without Katherine I'd be incomplete. Love you and Ryan so much - let’s get to celebrating!

Hi my name is Carol, I am Katherine's cousin! I am so incredibly happy to be a part of this new journey that Katherine and Ryan are set upon. I could not think of two people more fitting and perfect for each other. I remember the first day Katherine gushed about her crush on Ryan to Elaine and I, and how giddy and excited we were. Gosh, that felt so long ago. Katherine has been such a big part of my life. Our relationship and all of the memories that we've made is something that I'll forever carry with me and treasure. She has been there for me literally since day one, and is the most thoughtful and kind-hearted person I know. Ryan as most of you know, is equally amazing and incredible. Little did I know at the time that this awkward, skinny boy would become one of my most reliable and trustworthy friends today. It’s been inspiring to see how faithful Ryan and Katherine have been to each other, and to God, through all they’ve been through, and I can’t wait to celebrate their big day!

Hi everyone! I'm Elaine, the cousin of the bride. Katherine is my literal day one. She has been the older sister I never had, my go-to person for advice or a good laugh, and we have truly been there for one another in every stage of life- the good and the bad. I can say that in this stage of her life, it is the happiest and most confident I have ever seen her. I look up to Ryan and Katherine's Christ- centered relationship so much, and through the years it has been amazing to witness how they continuously make each other better. From the start, Ryan fit right in with our family so I am excited to officially welcome a new cousin! Hello everyone, my name is Sam Back and I’m honored to be this man’s groomsman. I’m proud to say I’ve known this Vietnamese boy for the last 8 years of my life. Back then he was quiet, scrawny, and submissive--just the way I liked it. But he’s quite the opposite now..my most recent experience with him was helping Ryan drive down to San Diego. He definitely talked 90% of the time, saw his muscular legs sweat all over his seat in the dry Cali heat, and wouldn't sleep with shorts on when I asked him to clothe himself 😒 I love Ryan and Katherine and I can’t wait for them to get married. I’ve known them through the entirety of their relationship and seen the two of them grow so much. I couldn’t be more honored to stand by their sides as they make the biggest AND BEST commitment of their lives.

Hi, I'm Haley, a long-time friend of Katherine's. Ever since middle school, I've always considered her my best friend. We spent our formative years hanging out after school, taking silly pictures, and going on family vacations together. She really feels like a sister, and I know my parents consider her to be their second daughter. Eventually, we attended separate colleges and our lives took different paths. We haven't seen each other nearly enough since then, but no matter how long it's been, it always feels like no time has passed. It's amazing to see how happy and confident Katherine is with Ryan. When I spend time with them they just seem right together. I couldn't be more honored and excited to be a part of their wedding and can't wait to see what the future has in store for them.

My name is Troy, and it has been my honor to call Ryan and Katherine dear friends throughout the last few years. It has been an incredible blessing to have met Ryan in Vietnam 4 years ago. He appeared cool on the outside, but he surprised me with his character. He is a man full of quirks from his nightly phone cleansing routine to his unrivaled reverence for his bed. Walking through life with Ryan has pruned my character and I hope likewise as brothers in Christ. Over all of this, he has a genuine heart for those around him and embodies a life of loyalty. I’m incredibly excited to walk along Ryan and Katherine under the covenant of marriage and to see the fruit of their love in their community. I met Katherine shortly after attending GPC~ She always made an effort to know me and reached out when I missed service. Our first meet-up was at McDonald's where we bonded over our love for Peter Pan~ She's one of the few people I have a lot in common with and feel comfortable being myself around. She accepts me and laughs with me through my awkward and lazy personality~ She never fails to open up to me with honesty and good intentions. She was there for me through many of my struggles and continued to be there for me when I moved away. I've always loved her unique, laid back personality and admire her courage and transparency in front of friends, family, and God~ I'm so fortunate to have seen her grow into the strong woman that she is and I am excited to be part of her special day~

Hello everyone! My name is Van and I am blessed to have known Ryan and Katherine over the past several years. I first met Ryan when both of us were fundraising for medical supplies for our Vietnam trip back in 2014. Troy and I were then given the GRUELING task to be his roommates in Vietnam. Over the years after our trip, I was able to see and hear about his relationship with Katherine grow. Ryan was then one of the first influential people that supported my initial curiosity for the Lord which has led to my current walk of faith.
