The River/Lake Architecture Tour with Wendella is one of our favorite things to do in Chicago. We have been on it countless times and learn something new every time. Highly recommend going to enjoy a few drinks, the view of the city’s stunning skyline and historical buildings.

Where it all began—This is where we had our first date! This small Italian spot has a huge menu.
The Aberdeen Tap
This is our favorite neighborhood bar and where we celebrated our engagement party. They have GREAT bar food. Don’t leave without trying the mac and cheese bites!
Pizzeria Portofino
Located along the Chicago River, Pizzeria Portofino offers stunning waterfront views, pizzas, and refreshing cocktails. We have had many family and friend gatherings here and always have a great time. Reservation needed!

Perfect for before or after the architecture tour. - Millennium Park: Visit The Bean and or walk through the park in the heart of the city. Go across the street to Cindy’s Rooftop for a drink and a beautiful view of the park and lake! - Lincoln Park Zoo: A free zoo perfect for a leisurely afternoon, surrounded by beautiful gardens. This is very close to our Reception Venue, Theater on the Lake. - Lakefront Trail: Rent a bike or take a walk along Lake Michigan's shores for gorgeous views and fresh air. - Shopping at Water Tower Place & down the Magnificent Mile
