My name is April, and I am the lucky lady that was honored with the title “Matron of Honor”. I am Jackie’s (“Jax”) COU-sister (cousin/sister). I currently reside in Silver Spring, MD with my husband Jamie, our 1 year old Henry Roque, and two little fur girls Bogey Elise and Fenway Caroline. I am a Penn State Alumni and employed as a Senior Regulatory Analyst at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority in Rockville, MD. Most of my fondest childhood memories include Jax, although I don’t know that she could say the same, as I had a tendency to make her cry (and enjoy it). There are many qualities that I admire about the bride-to-be; however, her kindness is like none other. Words can’t describe the joy that I feel to be able to celebrate Jackie & Dave during this most memorable time.

Some time ago my sister April (The Matron of Honor), Jackie & I dubbed ourselves "cousisters". Even though I was younger, they always included me in their shenanigans. From summers spent in the pool to ocean kayaking and late night bike rides at the beach, we have shared a lifetime of memories. Jax is one of the most creative, sweetest person I know, and I am honored to stand by her side on her big day.

As sister of the groom, I have had the privilege of watching Dave and Jackie grow together in love and in life. They have stuck by one another through all that this world has thrown at them and come out stronger and better for all of it. It is rare to find someone that will change with you as life ebbs and flows and I could not be happier that Dave has found his person in Jackie. Congrats guys! Love you lots!

Hi everyone, I’m Stephanie!! I’m a wife, nurse, and avid cat lover. Jackie and I grew up less than a mile from each other. Once we started hanging out in middle school, I realized she was the blond to my (natural) brunette. We have been best friends every since! I’m so excited to be a part her and Dave’s special day.

Mattie and Jackie both went to Morgantown High together. Different friend groups in high school, different colleges, moving different places after colleges made developing a solid friendship difficult. However in the summer of 2017 Mattie had a lot of stressful issues going on and fellow bridesmaids Stephanie and Susie invited her to the OBX to visit Jackie. Jackie being Jackie, welcomed Mattie with open arms. After a long weekend of laughs, stories, reconnecting and new jokes and memories the 4 friends not only reconnected but developed a bond better than (I think) any of them could've imagined. Since July the four talk almost every day and have helped each other through good days and bad. Mattie is beyond honored to be a part of Jackie and Dave's day

My husband and I moved to this beach about 5 years ago and I couldn't be more thankful for what we found. Loving community, amazing friends, and adopted family. I had the pleasure of meeting Jackie through a job. Bonding over projects came quickly, next bloomed a friendship I am incredibly grateful for. Whether it's doggy play dates, working in the shop, or girl get togethers, I know a good time will be had. I am thankful to call Jackie and Dave friends.

I met Jackie about 10 years ago at Mulligans on a girls’ trip. She carded me and actually knew how to pronounce our home town, Man-ass-as, V.A. “Small world”, she said as she explains that’s where her boyfriend is from. Since then, we’ve been best buds. Jackie is amazing. She makes me smile, laugh, happier and also run obstacle courses for charities and eat pizza at midnight and karaoke songs using only one word....”meow”. True story. I’m about a decade older than her but we just clicked, our love of life and animals, the ocean, sports, all things artistic and whimsical bonded us for life. Even our dogs are besties. I know it sounds like I’m marrying Jackie because I do love her and love being her friend, truly it’s an honor to stand beside her on her wedding day.

I met Jackie 6 years ago while working at Mulligans. Jackie & I became really close during our time working & bartending together. As long as we were working together, we had fun. We quickly became much more than work friends & developed a deep, trusting relationship. I know that I can talk to Jackie about anything without being judged. She will support me no matter what, and I do the same for her. I feel so honored to be part of her & Dave's special day. She is one of my truest friends at the beach & in life. Jackie has a genuine, caring spirit, and I feel lucky to have her as a friend. Dave compliments her well, and I have enjoyed getting to know them as a couple. Our pups have also become fast friends over the years. I'm so excited to get the festivities started for this happy couple!

Hi I’m Susie! Jackie and my friendship started back in middle school and continued through the years. From fun nights in college with me crashing on her couch to our adult years with me again crashing on her couch in the OBX. Over the years our friendship has become stronger even with the distance. I am honored to be a part of Dave and Jackie’s wedding and helping to celebrate their love for each other.

When Dave was just going into high school, I told him to follow 3 rules of thumb: Always match your shoes with your belt, pick a college with a high caliber football team, obviously for tailgating purposes & live by a or on a beach. Another was to find a woman "that loves you for who your are and not what you do". Dave has definitely found the right woman. I had the pleasure of meeting Jackie over Christmas in 09' in Boston. We sat down staring at our 2.5 LB Lobsters each. I made a side comment to Dave that this was the true test to see how she takes down this Lobster. Needless to say she dissected the Lobster like someone that came out of Culinary school. Along with many other attributes I was sold on Jackie. I wish nothing but an endless life of friendship, love and happiness!

I am Jackie's bearded brother. I might shave before the wedding. I am also her car fixer upper. We've had our ups and downs like all siblings do, but we have been on some memorable adventures that I will always remember like Philmont, skiing trips, and family vacations. I welcome Dave into the family and promise to behave myself at the wedding. Lastly the beach is nice, but always remember those West Virginia hills are nicer. Looking forward to spending more time with the new bride and groom and hopefully having Jackie show me her deep sea fishing abilities.

My name is Kristen Karl Meier, born and raised in Columbus, OH. I am a graduate of VMI & have lived on Hatteras for 16 years and recently purchased a home. One dark & stormy night I was pushing through an epic Hatteras storm in a company truck. I narrowly made it to a facility known to a secret conclave as "Big Red". Dave was guardian of this facility & did so with great distinction. An immediate kinship with Dave was felt. His wit, sensibility & conviction to Catholicism was comparable to my own. An immediate mutual respect & admiration followed thus leading into the joy of meeting his charming beau. Over the years their friendship & hospitality has been without boundaries or prejudice. I am humbled & gracious to be a part of this permanent union as I feel our friendships are as well.

I met Dave and Jackie about 11 years ago. Dave and I had both just moved to the Outer Banks for the first time and started working at Ocean Atlantic Rentals at the same time. Dave and Jackie have been best friends of mine ever since and have always been there for me no matter what. I am forever grateful and blessed for their genuine friendship.

I met Dave working at Island Revolution and Ocean Atlantic Rentals and we became buddies pretty rapidly sharing our love of the ocean and waves. Many funny/crazy stories have come from our friendship (no one ask about the Gatorade bottle before fishing). We have surfed all over the Outer Banks together and have become very good friends in and out of the water. I’m so happy to be apart of Dave and Jackie’s wedding. They are big amazing humans and I’m so happy for them. Surfs up and much love :)
