Maid of Honor
Emma is my sister. She lives in England so she's making the trip across the pond! She is a video editing queen at ladbible. We embrace our long distance sisterhood through the use of facetime and many many trips back and forth across the ocean. We are the best aunt's to each others fur babies (even though Emma hasn't met most of Kate's dogs). She is the best sister a girl could ask for and I am lucky to have such an amazing sister.
Best Man
Nicholas is my brother and oldest confidant. Sort of. You see, we didn’t get along much for the middle part of our lives, but now we’re as inseparable as two brothers who live a couple hundred of miles apart can get. We celebrate the greatest American holiday (The Super Bowl) together every year, poke fun at each other’s favorite teams, and have a similarly outlandish sense of humor. He’s everything you could want in a brother, and that is why he’s my Best Man.
Bridesmaid
Mimi and Kate have been friends since the womb. It's said they used to use their Moms bellybuttons as radios to talk to each other. Born just 7 days apart, these two have been together from the very beginning and are ready to follow each other through every new phase life has.
Bridesmaid
Lana and Kate go back to the old days where Lana would pull hair. Now you can find her being a fancy big girl in the finance world. The two of them are chosen family and Kate is lucky to have a bonus little sister like her!
Bridesmaid
Allison and Kate are horse girl soul mates for life. Through ups and downs, they were a dynamic duo on and off horseback. They were a scary pair when the two of them got going but luckily have grown to be nice people.
Bridesmaid
Ayden also met Kate at the barn and the two became quickly inseparable. Ayden taught Kate everything she knew about talking to boys. They battled a long distance friendship through high school, a brutal 45 minutes, and managed to stay friends the whole time. They love to watch High School Musical together and cry over Zac Efron.
Bridesmaid
Gabby is Kate's bonus big sister. Horses brought them together and that started the many many nights of Gabby babysitting Kate. She was always around to watch Jon and Kate Plus 8 and Say Yes to the Dress. Gabby has been helping Kate plan this wedding from the time Kate was 10.
Bridesmaid
Hayley and Kate went to high school together but it wasn't until they decided to live together in college that they became best friends. Kate and Hayley lived together for 5 years and even coparented a dog together. The two became close over drinking wine and watching Bridesmaids, a million time!
Bridesmaid
Jess was one of Kate's first friends at Syracuse and they became almost inseparable since the night they met. Since then they've gotten up to a lot of mischief over the years and they wouldn't have it any other way. Jess is one of the quarantine sisters, deemed this from how they all canceled their trip for spring break and locked themselves in a house together as the pandemic started.
Bridesmaid
Lauren was also one of my first friends at Syracuse. We share a love of makeup, internet drama, and cry over animals we've never met before. We have had plenty of sleepovers and are in a committed long distance relationship, since Lauren moved to Florida. Lauren is also one of the Quarantine Sisters spending many trips together solo and as a group.
Bridesmaid
Elyse and I suffered in science classes together. While Elyse excelled at Neuroscience, to become the best dentist you'll ever meet, I got one of the worst exam scores of my life because I went out the night before. Elyse is one of the best sounding boards I have and is always there to give me a reality check when things get crazy.
Bridesmaid
As another one of the Quarantine Sisters Sarah and I have been on many trips together. As the two palest friends in the group, we both spend lots of time sitting under the umbrella on the beach together. On one of our most recent adventures Sarah got in a fight with a random man she met at the bar and then sobbed about the state of our nation so we walked home together to thrive in the comfort of our airbnb.
Bridesmaid
The final Quarantine Sister in the bundle Shelbey and I have spent many chaotic nights together. We thrive on both of us always being down for a wild night. Shelbs is a ride or die crazy friend and is always there for venting sessions, drama, or a needed dance party.
Bridesmaid
Liv is my sorority sister. One of the best thing that came out of Alpha Chi Omega was our friendship. We have spent many nights as Kathy and Veronica dancing our hearts out. She is a true ride or die friend and has been their for me through every bad thing that's happened since we've met. We had many many Starbucks study dates where we did more talking than studying.
Bridesmaid
Megan has been best friends with Ryan since they were little kids. We became fast friends and are so lucky to have met through him. We love to have breakfast with her kiddos and many dinners together. I love to be the kids Aunt Cake!!
Bridesmaid
Brooke is one of the best new friends I have made since moving to Syracuse. We spend many nights getting our nails done, getting dinner, and fake tanning. We are so lucky to be able to work together and cause disruption in all of our meetings. I am so lucky to have her in every step of my life from now until forever.
Groomsman
Christopher is the oldest in the trio of Greek guy cousins, born in December of ’92. By dint of his status as a professional hockey player, he is the most athletic member of the bridal party. We grew up a few hours apart, but he’s probably to blame for my die-hard Buffalo Bills fandom. When the Bills make the Super Bowl, you better believe we’ll find our way there.
Groomsman
A New Year’s Day baby in ’93, Louis is the next in the trio of Greek guy cousins, of which I am the third. If you have a nice TV, keep it away from him when he’s playing Madden. Hopefully he’s grown out of throwing controllers, but with Josh Allen on the cover, I’m sure Madden 24 could bring uncontrollable excitement and rage out of Mother Teresa. Louis is a Syracuse University grad, and in such has commiserated woefully with me over Cuse Athletics for years.
Groomsman
Daniel knows where all the bodies are buried, so I do my best to stay on his good side. Since 5th grade, we have been best friends. Despite four and a half years apart while we were in college, the moment we reconnected it was like we hadn’t missed a beat. He taught me how to hunt, watched me miss my first shot at a turkey (that was way too close to miss, by the way) and has spent more time with me in the cold than any friend ever should.
Groomsman
In 2018 I was told, not recommended, or asked, to join the campaign team of a young guy running for New York State Assembly. I had never met him, nor did I have any idea what it looked like to work in politics, but I liked to write. Fast forward five years and change, and that candidate is one of my best friends. We have seen the highs and lows of each other’s lives, laughed, cried, and golfed it out. If you’re looking for a smooth operator, Nick Paro is your man.
Groomsman
When I found out Bryan had proposed to one of my longtime childhood friends Megan, I immediately went online and got ordained as a “break glass in case of emergency” backup. Thankfully he asked me to be in his wedding party and the pastor didn’t back out of marrying the two of them. We have started and led two Bible study groups together and could put on a clinic of how not to play golf. He also is the only Android user in the bridal party, so our green group text messages are wholly his fault.
Groomsman
Max is my surrogate son that I never asked for. For the better part of ten years, he was my roommate. When he first moved into the house, his dad shook my hand and said, “Ryan, he’s your problem now.” Whenever there’s a job to be done at the house, he lends his considerable expertise…until we have to call his dad Jeff to come fix all our screw-ups. He always has a truck if you’re in need of a mover, and his loyalty is undying, even when I’m in the wrong.
Groomsman
Dylan lived in Syracuse for a couple of years after graduating from Syracuse University, and by chance we connected and became close friends. He’s a Cuban Rico Suave and has charmed every person he ever met in one way or another. We went to my first EDM show together (in Syracuse, New York of all places), I taught him how to shoot a gun, and when I started working out regularly, he was my lifting coach. Spontaneity is his strong suit, and he is always down to have a great time with the boys. If you live in Austin, Texas and need a good friend, Dylan is your guy.
