Frankie and I always knew of each other, but never knew each other, if that makes sense. He was a close friend of my aunt Janei, who would constantly talk about that one time they smoked blunts out of a straw in the movie theater. I knew his name but could never put a face to it. That was until April of 2016, when we had our first conversation. I was walking home from the train after work, Frankie came up behind me and just started talking to me. For those of you who know me, he clearly caught me on a good day because I don’t talk to people I don’t know. But I remember thinking to myself aw he has such a sweet face and smile. From that day on, we looked forward to seeing each other every day. Sometimes I would even go outside multiple times a day, just to see him a little while longer. Finally, we went on our first date. Cafeteria. To this day he can tell you exactly what I wore on that date. If you guys know Frankie, he doesn’t remember anything lol. I remember being so nervous, but I could tell he was too. From that day on we were locked in. We spent a lot of time together, eventually we made things official. Fast forward to the ending of 2021. We decided that we would start trying to have a child. After a few months of trial and error, I fell pregnant, and we welcomed our first baby girl Kariana in 2023 (we later had Aviana in 2024). We were elated and felt like life was truly complete for us. Or so I thought. On July 6, 2023, we went shopping in Green Acres Mall in Queens. I remember going to the bathroom while I left Frankie with Kariana to look in a jewelry store. When I came out, we left. As we were walking to the elevator, he got down on one knee and pulled out the ring. At first, I was shocked and tried to pull him up off the floor. I asked him if he was dead serious. He replied with “I wouldn’t be on one knee if I wasn’t.” We started laughing and I told him yes. Fast forward again to now, Frankie and I are asking you all to come celebrate us (and have a little vacation), so grab your passports and let’s go to Dominican Republic! #FinallyFrancisco
