Dear Friends and Family, We wanted to check in given the changing travel climate due to the coronavirus outbreak. With Wisconsin being one of the number one hotspots for COVID and with the new state mandate, we have made the tough decision to downsize our wedding to close family. Our hearts are shattered to not be able to celebrate with those close to us, but we want to keep everyone safe and to help stop the spread. Madeline and Ethan met while going school at Northern Michigan University. They found each other at a college party beginning of the Fall semester of 2014. Shorty after that night Ethan reached out to Madeline on NMU's "Secret Admirers Page" wanting to get to know her more. A few years later, the two were both placed in the same business class Winter semester of 2016 after not having contact during that time. They were placed in a group project together for the semester and rekindled their interest in each other. After the semester ended the two began dating and the rest is history.

After graduation in May 2019, Madeline left for a 5 week backpacking trip across Europe. After arriving back home to the states she went home to see her family in Michigan. Ethan surprised Madeline at her home a day earlier than expected. When he showed up to surprise her it was late evening and she wasn't home. Her family was aware of what was going on, but she didn't. Once Madeline arrived home that night after visiting friends, she found Ethan waiting by the fire. Before she could even get any words out he was down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Clearly, she said yes!
