Our Story

Let me set the scene for you: It's January 2021, Anthony finally agreed to join the online dating world after his college best friend Mike convinced him he needed to "put himself out there". At this time, Elizabeth, who had been on and off the online dating scene for years, decided to give it another try even though she was finally happy and didn't mind being single. Fast forward to end of January 2021, the two matched and Elizabeth sent the first message. They chatted back and forth for days getting to know each other. Restaurants were finally starting to open back up after Covid so the two decided to meet in Providence RI (near Elizabeth's office and part of Anthony's old stomping grounds near the Johnson and Wales college campus). The plan was set: Xaco Taco, 6pm, Friday February 5th 2021. Of course of all days, Elizabeth's new car wouldn't start, she was late for work and she locked her house keys inside her house. But she made it happen. Anthony was driving all the way from Taunton in his plow truck after he got out of work. The two met outside of the restaurant, both wearing covid masks, greeted each other with a hug and proceeded to occupy a small round table at Xaco Taco for the next two hours. They ate, Elizabeth drank a mango margarita and they talked non stop. The date could have lasted several more hours but restaurants had dine in time limits at that point. Anthony walked Elizabeth to her car, secretly wishing it didn't start again so he could offer to drive her home to spend more time with her, but it did and he hugged her goodbye and told her to let him know when she made it home. Before either of them made it home, they were already texting wishing the date could have lasted longer. They instead made plans for the next night. And the rest is history. They have been together since that day. Anthony had one online date ever in his life and she is now his wife. What a lucky man. And after all the years of Elizabeth searching for a man who cared and treated her as she deserved, she finally found her other half. The Festa's were married in a very small intimate ceremony at their local Town Hall exactly 4 years after their first date. The couple looks forward to continuing to build a beautiful life together with their two cats, Cleo and Gus.
