Nathan and Jacqueline met by complete chance in August 2010. Their friend Hanna used to live in Cloquet, MN and moved down to Southern, MN where her and Jacqueline went to high school together. During the summer before 11th Grade Hanna and Jacqueline went up to Cloquet to attend a wedding for a family friend of Hanna’s. While up in Cloquet they stopped at Nathan’s house who happened to be a classmate of Hanna’s from when she lived in Cloquet. Jacqueline, Hanna, Nathan and his friend Nick Myers all hung out that day and went down to the river. Jacqueline and Nick stood and watched as Hanna and Nathan enjoyed the water. Nathan and Jacqueline barely interacted that day other than a few awkward words exchanged. After they went their separate ways, they started texting and getting to know one another, they eventually started calling one another talking about how their days were and as days went by they realized they really liked one another. They started dating on September 20th, 2010.
Nathan got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I had thought about that moment for quite some time, and never could have guessed my reaction, or how perfect the moment would be. It was the boquet toss, at his best friend’s wedding; it was all planned out, and the bride handed the boquet straight to me, and all I could think when she handed it to me, was that all the other girls were missing their chance to catch it, and so I told her she was cheating! In my confusion I was spun around and there was Nathan on one knee. I was completely blown away, and I couldn't even answer him. I started crying, a lot. I was just so shocked, and so happy that I didn't know how to even form the word yes. The DJ gave me a little help, saying "She says yes everyone", as I stood in front of all those people shocked. I finally found my voice and said yes, and had to tell Nathan again as I was crying, because I'm not sure anyone could even hear me! I had planned to joke with him, with my answer, but in the end I never would have guessed I'd be so speachless.
